Sussex County and a nonprofit land preservation group are spending $725,000 to purchase the 18th-century Cannon-Maston House near Seaford, one of the oldest buildings in the county.

On Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, the majority of the Sussex County Council voted to purchase 30 acres of land on Route 113 in Georgetown for a future County Administration complex.
